Celebrity Poker Showdown
I have watched poker on TV for a couple years now. I am currently watching the new celebrity poker showdown. This show was always one of the more entertaining poker shows, for me. I like Phil Gordon, and was extremely disappointed to see that he was not on this season. I was even more upset when I see the replacement was Phil Hellmuth, Jr. Regardless of how he acts on the show, he is a tool in the real poker world. I am putting my vote behind Annie Duke for the position, or my personal favorite, Daniel Negreanu. Daniel is Canadian as well, and I find him funny in real poker world, so probably a funny guy with the cheesy lines the co-host always uses. Daniel is also a lot like Phil Gordon, in that he is less likely to call someone a poker idiot because they don't play like pros. Seriously, they are playing for charity, and fun, so it has to be entertaining, not really great poker.
I will continue to watch the show, since the celebrities are usually funny in themselves.
Oh yeah, I can't forget to mention how funny I found the comment Dave Foley made about being Canadian and therefore Communist. I have been calling Canadians communist for 10 years (socialized health care is a sham)! It's even funnier when a certified Canadian says it.
If you haven't gotten into poker yet, check out this show, since it is more entertaining. Real poker can be a little boring at times, so to watch it, I recommend getting a TiVo to fast forward through the boring stuff.
